As an agent for North American Van Lines serving the Las Vegas valley since 1963, Capitol North American has been providing our customers with local and long distance moving services for 45 years.
We feel very strongly that the best way to give you an accurate cost estimate and to identify what services your move will require is to perform an in-house survey of the goods to be moved. We do that at no cost and with no obligation to you in any way. We believe that it is time well spent, both for us, and for our customers, as it results ina much better move and a more satisfied customer, as proven by the fact that over 25% of the household relocations we perform every year are for families that have used our services before.
With that being said, we also understand that people like to have an idea of what our services cost, and to help with that we have included a ball park cost estimate for moving locally (within Clark County) and a link to North American Van Line’s web site where you can get an ball park estimate of costs to move long distance from state to state.
We want to emphasize that these are ‘ball park estimates’ only and that the costs for your actual services can, and probably will, vary. Some web sites will state that you can price your move on line and get a ‘firm quote’ without a survey being done. That is, quite frankly, not true. We recommend two things to every customer. 1) Get a written estimate with a binding price from any mover you choose to use, and if they tell you that a survey is not required to provide this, be very wary. 2) Check out the mover with the Better Business Bureau, with the American Moving and Storage Association (www.moving.org), or do a web search for ‘Problem Movers”, “Moving Problems”, etc. A quick search will give you some insight as to the problems that can (and unfortunately, do) result from ‘internet moving scams’.
When you pick a mover, you are trusting a stranger to take away everything you own, including family heirlooms, and to give them back to you in the same condition in which they were when the move started. We take that responsibility very seriously, and we want to make sure that no matter who you choose for your mover, that they also care about you and your belongings.
