Nevada North American, Inc. d.b.a. Capitol North American, was incorporated in the State of Nevada in November, 1962. In January, 1964 the Nevada Public Service Commission granted a Certificate of Public Service and Necessity to Capitol North American which allows for the transportation of new and used household goods, office furniture, fixtures and equipment within state of Nevada.
With this authority, transportation services are available locally and to or from any point within the state. Through our association with North American Van Lines, Capitol North American can arrange transportation to or from any point in the United States, as well as to any point in the world.
In 1968, the company built a new facility and relocated its operations from its West Desert Inn Road address to 1780 South Mojave Road, its current location. Capitol has been in this location since 1969. Beginning with a 30,000 Sq. ft. warehouse, Capitol has since expanded the facility on its 10-acre site to include 150,000 Sq. ft. of warehouse space. A 100,000 lb. capacity truck scale, adequate parking and operating facilities make up our operations center.
